Code & 3D CAD Design

Prototypes:

First Prototype
– Three parts
– Circular

Second Prototype
– Similar design; circular, same placement of holes
– Two parts

A New Design Concept…

Third Prototype
– Rectangular shape
– Shrimp travels path

Third Prototype (but with ABS filament!)
– Had warped on the sides; need to fix
– Openings in the wall

FOURTH PROTOTYPE!
– Bigger, more finalized version
– Contains gear that would be attached to a motor that opens the door
– Black door mechanism couldn’t fit in the axle ; made white door mechanism with smaller pulley system to fit in the axle
– Can take out the black pathways
– Final adjustments: need to make the bottom of the door bigger & tighter

Final Concept –
1. Brine shrimps would swim up and down the maze to get to the other side
2. Gear would be connected to a motor and will move the pulley hooks (see 2nd photo)
3. Door opens; shrimps swim through the door into the tank
